April 2006: In Brief

“Rabbit, Rabbit” Details: No, I didn’t say it. Even though ZQ reminded me. I don’t want to think of myself as superstitious, but what a weird month. I spent the entire 30 days feeling tired, out of sorts, and slightly drunk (without any alcohol or drugs). That last part turned out to be allergy symptoms. Evidently the pollen count is way high this year. Thank goodness for May and allergy medicines because feeling constantly drunk is not nearly as fun as it sounds.

Movies Seen:
Kinsey

Books Read:
None. Unbelievable. How could I not finish a single book? Stupid allergies.

Fanfic Read:
Chopped Liver (Parts 1-3), by Dark Roast
Holding the Curve, by Tiana
One Headlight, by Sexycereal
And the Holy Ghost Was Moving, Too, by Buffyx

Thank goodness for all the good Veronica Mars fanfic on the Internet. And thanks to ZQ for the suggestions. It held my allergy-impaired attention better than books and since all the stories were Logan-centric, feeling drunk or hungover set the mood quite nicely.

TV I Enjoyed:
Veronica Mars- At this point obsessively addicted to is more accurate than enjoyed.
Alias- Have to see how the show finally ends.
Gilmore Girls- Loved Lane’s two weddings and two receptions.

Music I Listened To:
Ha! I really, really need to get some new CDs.

Fun Things I Did:
Went to New York City with the daughterling. Definitely going to have to do that again.

Sub Jobs:
None. Had to catch up on home stuff after the “big sub job”, and then it was spring break, and then I was a walking drunkard, and then I discovered allergy medicine, and then it was May.

Misc. Other Stuff:
Hosted several kid slumber parties in early April. Interesting and tiring.
A couple family birthdays this month
Did I mention I felt weird all month? Yes, I probably did. Good-bye April. Hello May!

  1. I didn’t finish a single book, either! I think that’s because I’ve been trying to read 48 of them at once.

Well, it is the cruellest month — at least according to The Bard.

I do that too! But usually at least one of them hooks me and I’m forced to finish it.
